RIX oil skimmer: removing tramp oil from the coolant
The screw skimmer removes more than twice as much tramp oil as conventional skimmers – with hardly any loss of coolant. A patented solution from the Japanese company RIX, distributed throughout Europe by 3nine.

The problem
Tramp oil in the coolant
Tramp oil in machine tools: belt, disc and tube skimmers often remove too little tramp oil or remove too much cutting fluid.
How it works
Three steps, one rotating screw

Tramp oil sticks to the screw
Tramp oil has a higher viscosity than the cutting fluid and sticks to the thread of the rotating screw.

Wiper collects it
The tramp oil is conveyed upwards and continuously guided into the collection tank by a wiper.

Coolant drains away
The thin coolant drains downwards. Hardly any coolant is lost.
