Effective oil mist separators for your business throughout Switzerland
Improve the air at your workplace and the functionality of your machines in metalworking with efficient extraction solutions. Let us advise you on high-quality oil mist separators.

- Oil mist is formed: During machining, coolant is sprayed. Fine oil droplets, smoke and micro-particles fill the machine and escape into the workshop.
- Extracting directly at the machine: The separator sits on top of the machine. It extracts the oil mist from the working area before it reaches the workshop.
- Oil and air are separated: Inside the separator, a stack of discs spins very fast. The oil droplets are thrown against the wall and run down.
- Clean air, oil returned: The cleaned air flows out at the top. The separated oil flows back into the machine through the return line. Pictured: 3nine VERA 500 from the APEX series.
Swedish engineering – disc separation since 2001Not a conventional filter – but a separator.
Basic principle: Unlike conventional systems, which collect emulsion and oil mist in filters, the patented disc separation from 3nine separates the mist from the air directly at its source. The result: cleaner air, a longer filter life with fewer filter changes and the recovery of valuable coolants – and thus lower operating costs, higher availability and a more sustainable working environment.

Disc separation
How a 3nine separator works
- 1
Oil and emulsion mist is extracted directly at the machine.
- 2
In the rotor (disc stack), the small droplets merge into large drops on their way between the discs. These are thrown against the inner wall and flow back into the machine tool or into the coolant circuit.
- 3
Disc separation removes 99.9 % of all particles from 1 µm.
- 4
A HEPA H13 filter captures the remaining tiny particles – the clean air is 99.95 % free of particles and can be returned directly to the workshop.
Separation efficiency of the disc separation (Blue Line): 1 µm = 99.9 % · 0.9 µm = 91 % · 0.75 µm = 82 %

Extract and filter
Tackling oil mist with an emission extraction solution tailored to your needs
Process emissions in metalworking
When metal is machined and metalworking machines are operated, large quantities of harmful emissions such as aerosols, smoke and microparticles are released and settle on all surfaces. In the long run these process emissions are harmful to your health and also reduce the ease of production and the performance of your machines.
Extract and filter – even in the smallest space
For safety and cleanliness at the workplace and to protect your health, it is therefore essential to extract and filter these pollutants from the air accordingly. Our oil mist separators offer high-quality, needs-based solutions for extracting and filtering oil mist, even in the smallest space. We will gladly advise you on possible solutions for your workshop.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about oil mist separators
Why is an oil mist separator needed?
When metal is machined and metalworking machines are running, large quantities of harmful emissions such as aerosols, smoke and microparticles are released and settle on every surface. In the long run these process emissions are harmful to your health, and they also impair production conditions and the performance of your machines. For safety and cleanliness at the workplace it is therefore essential to extract these pollutants from the air and filter them.
