Technology
Disc separation, HEPA filter and CIP cleaning
- 1
Disc separation
In the rotor (disc stack), the small droplets merge into large drops that are thrown against the inner wall and flow back into the coolant circuit. It removes 99.9 % of all particles from 1 µm.
- 2
HEPA filter H13
Captures the remaining tiny particles – the clean air is 99.95 % free of particles and can be returned directly to the workshop.
- 3
CIP self-cleaning
Cleaning in Place: clean coolant from the machine regularly flushes through the disc stack – this prevents clogging and reduces maintenance effort.
Separation efficiency of the disc separation (Blue Line): 1 µm = 99.9 % · 0.9 µm = 91 % · 0.75 µm = 82 %
ALMA 500: strong in a small format
A compact and powerful oil mist separator – a strong separator in a small format, developed for applications with large amounts of solid particles. Clean air even in the most demanding applications such as grinding and machining cast iron.
- Clean and safe working environment
- High separation of oil/emulsion mist
- Reuse of the coolant
- Minimal filter changes
- Flexible and compact installation
- Sustainable and economical
Benefits
What you get out of it
Lower operating costs
Lower total cost of ownership (TCO): fewer filter changes, less downtime. Oil and coolant are recovered – which reduces purchasing costs.
Sustainability
A longer filter life means less waste. Less oil loss, less environmental impact.
Health & regulations
99.9 % clean air for a safer working environment and healthier employees.
Oil mist can cause serious damage to health, settles on surfaces (slip hazard), damages electrical equipment and increases cleaning effort – with a 3nine separator, that is a thing of the past.
